Product Overview
Immune Vitamin - Ambio Antioxidants
Immune vitamins are antioxidant rich compounds to boost immune system. Immune vitamins prevent the oxidation of other substances. Oxidation is a damaging process for the cells. Antioxidants and free radicals are both related to body chemicals balance. Antioxidants combat the free radicals responsible for many deadly diseases, including cancer. If the level of immune vitamins is not maintained in the body, free radicals are generated by oxidation process. Free radicals will in turn attack stable molecules in a chain reaction making the body vulnerable to diseases and premature aging.
Researches have focused on how immune vitamins may reduce heart diseases risk. Vitamins E, vitamin C and beta carotene antioxidant (a form of vitamin A), have the potential to boost the immune system.
The American Hart Association defines antioxidants as substances that protect body cells from damage caused by free radicals. Immune vitamins stabilize the free radicals preventing damage that otherwise would be inevitable. Beta-carotene antioxidant, lycopene, vitamins C, vitamin E, and vitamin A, are immune vitamins.
Ambio-Antioxidants is formulated to increase the body protection against the effects of free radicals.
Ambio-Antioxidants can be taken independently or with any of our other nutritional supplements.

Product Formulation
Benefits of Vitamin A (retinol and beta carotene)
Vitamin A is essential for the white blood cells, bones, and to maintain health. It is important to pay attention to the daily intake of Vitamin A. We should not take too much Vitamin A from supplements. There are evidences that large amount of preformed Vitamin A (retinol) increase the risk of bones fracture and can lead to some birth defects when taken during pregnancy. The recommended daily dose of Vitamin A is 2,300 IU for women and 3,000 IU for men. Based on the Linus Pauling Institute, vitamin supplements can supply as much as 5,000 IU a day of Vitamin A. That dose can cause adverse effects on bones, especially in old people. For this reason, it is preferable to take multivitamin supplements that includes less than 2,500 IU of Vitamin A (as retinol), or multivitamin supplements that provide less than 5,000 IU of Vitamin A, of which, at least 50% is from natural beta carotene. Nutritional supplements containing high-potency Vitamin A should be avoided due to the risk of toxicity. Our supplements follow these guidelines to assure that you take the right dose of Vitamin A.
Vitamin C
Vitamin C is a great antioxidant for the immune system. Vitamin C speeds the healing of wounds and prevents inflammation. The antioxidant properties of the Vitamin C protect our skin against free radicals. How much vitamin C is too much? The recommended dose of vitamin C from supplements is 1000mg split in two doses a day.
Vitamin E
Scientific studies indicate that the intake of vitamin E can reduce the risk of cancer. It has been found that Vitamin E and Vitamin C are more powerful together than separated. If you take Zocor, Prevachol, Lipitor, Crestor, you should consult your physician before taking vitamin E and C in large doses because these vitamins reduce the effect of statin drugs.
Selenium Benefits
Selenium benefits may include prostate cancer prevention, although there are intense scientific debates on the subject. Other selenium benefit; selenium is important for many body functions as antioxidant and should not be disregarded.
Alpha Lipoic Acid
Alpha lipoic acid supplements can help the body to recycle Vitamins C and other antioxidants, enhancing their effectiveness.
Lycopene
Lycopene is a powerful antioxidant that can prevent body cell damages from the free radicals. Lycopene is water and fat soluble, thus making it a universal antioxidant that can easily reach skin tissues and other body tissues. Lycopene has been considered beneficial for prostate cancer.
